The new Viper is such a nice looking car, but it just can't compare to the original.

Also, is it just me or do those taillights look almost identical to the ones off of the original Viper.

Anyone else think that the side on profile of the Viper resembles a heavily pumped out FD 7?

I noticed that too. At first, I thought it was a re-skinned 1st gen. Viper. I guess all you can do is copy an already-good roof design.

Compared to the original Viper GTS, that looks like a cheap kit car.

I like it as well, except for the black plastic cladding around the exhaust, that should just be metal. A coworker has a red viper, so I get to see it fairly often.

yeah i was gonna say that judging by the profile they made the Viper look like a Viper again. that's a good thing, it's just too bad they can't make it fast enough for the price.

Look at the attachment...and tell me what you see there. Then please tell me WHY?

From what I can gather...it has 2 sets of calipers. Why? that's my question. The pads on the small one are Brembos, the other one: who knows.

Main brakes and parking brakes
The new viper has a trunk, whereas the old one was a liftglass hatchback.

Thatsa disgusting color for a viper. Someonein my building used to have a gray one w/purple body work on the doors. Itwas really sweet looking. This isjust ugly though

I liked the original Viper better... but I think it would look a lot better with a new paint job - it isn't 1964 any more.

I don't think the specs are going to be too different from the Vert:
http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/viper_srt.asp

All in all, a very hard to improve package without going -even more- radical.

Would make sense: after running the thing like a maniac, the last thing you want is having those red hot rotors against recalcitrant pads cooling down. Oh, well..I don't know.
