Cool Painted Rotors & Calipers w/ Mazdaspeed...

Did this yesturday, took about 6 hours but worth it!

They came out awesome! Great job! I have been wanting to do this to my 8 but have been busy with other mods. Now I have to do it! I Love those rims to where did you get them and how much?

What paint did you go with....G2, or spray can?

what did you use for the stencil?


I'm going to do something very similar.

....also, I was thinking of painting the back of the pad black. Did you consider that?

Gyro: I used a spray can of high temp I bought at Discount Auto; it was easy to work with dries pretty well/quick and was 3.40 a can... I used silver and black for the calipers and semi-flat black for the rotors; completely removed the calipers and rotors... Took the support bracket for the rotors off the car taped them and painted those hanging on a hanger then with the caliper still attached with the brake lines taped everything off including the wheel wells and painted... The rotors where off the cars and painted with a round template I made (two sizes f/r...) The Mazdaspeed stencil I made from scratch using some large labels I printed the Mazdaspeed logo the right size then cut out with an exacto knife making sure not to cut through the backing paper. I then removed the surrounding material and we now have stencils...

i'm afraid it'll come off or go dark within a month.....since it's only high temp paint. cuz i've use it for my oven. i got it from home depo. i recommand G2
