Did you use spray paint to paint it?

I notice the surface is bumpy. If you do several coats of regular paint from a can, it ends up being very smooth, almost plastic looking.

i sprayed it first with everything removed and then i touched it up with a brush a couple more coats. I'm happy with it though; it doesn't have to be that smooth.

Looks great. Did you do the inside of the rotors too? Mine is all rusty, so I guess I'll have to grind the rust off unless someone knows of another way to get rid of it before painting.

I assume you have to use high temp paint on brake parts too, right?

Yep. I got everything from Pepboys: wire brush (fine) attachable to a cordless drill to clean up the rust on the rotors and I also bought black engine block paint (spray) that resists heat up to 1500F. If you look closely, you can see that the center of the rotors are black.

Pepboys also carries red caliper paint good up to 900F and don't forget the brake cleaner.

Good luck.
