After having both RB sway bars and spings I highly recommend them. After each mod the car fetl tighter and more responsive. The last thing I had done was get rid of the stock tires and got
245 X 40 X 18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The suspension is smokin and I use the car for a daily driver because I enjoy driving so much.

I'll be ordering mine soon. The price I saw was for $516 and 200 for labor.

I Just Ordered One

RX8FOREAL,

I just ordered the Racing Beat suspension package, but it hasn't arrived yet. Was there any difficulty installing it (clearance issues or extensive disassembly of the suspension?

Also, I like your thinking with the upgraded tires. How do you like the F1's?

To date I have had all my work perfomed by the Mazda dealer where I bought my car. It has not been cheap, but the work has been very reliable and I know done right.
I just picked up the car today after having a SSR flywheel installed. After I have read many comments concerning change in clutch/ gas feel I was apprehensive when I picked up the car. There was a slightly different feel but no big deal at all, and after 10 minutes was used to it. I was in traffic all the way home so I am looking foward to driving to work in the AM to really feel the differnce.
Since I live in dirty Jersey, the winters are pretty rough, so much that without the Bizzacks, I would not be able to drive in the winter. Anyway, once I removed the Bizzacks and had my stock Bridgestones installed, after one day of driving, I realized that the snow tires were more responsive than the stock tires. The next day I researched tires on tirerack.com and determined that the Goodyears were the best rated summer tire and purchased them. I have been totally pleased with perfomance both dry and wet. They **** all over the stock tires.
I am considering SSR pullies next.

How much did the ride change. Is it any harsher now or just stiffer and tighter?

The ride is not harsh at all mainly because I did not change the stock struts. That was the mistake I had made on my prelude. I had tokicos, 5 way adjustables and when I hit a bump my teeth would chatter. I did also have the car lower than now. The amount lowered was not extreme so the ride is very tight but not harsh. The real test is my wife not knowing I did the work and not mentioning anything concerning the ride.
The ride was good before but cornering has improved a hugh amount.

The only thing you can see in pics is the drop from the springs...there is a whole thread dedicated to the RB springs here in the forum, with pics...

Thanks for the feedback, it looks like exactly what I am looking for. The wife test is the real guage. I changed the struts in one of my other cars and during the first test ride I hit a progressive dip in the road that nearly knocked the wind out of me. I new right there that I screwed up. My wife never wanted to drive or ride in the car again.

I would have to disagree.... I changed out the springs/struts on my last car, and loved the new feel. I also had a prelude prior to the 8, and changed it with tokicos as well.

The stiff ride made it feel like more of a sports car. If i wanted a "soft/cozy" ride, I would get a minivan....

BTW, this thread helped me with what i was looking for, which was info on struts for the 8. THANX

You guys convinced me. I'm not getting married. This "wife test" seems like too much of a compromise.
