Spotted a Winning Blue RX8 at the NEC Classic car show last month, long story but I bought it.

24K miles, 2006, Winning Blue, full Mazda SH - Zero experience with RX8's or Rotary engines, keen to learn.

I have had a 1999 Volvo V70R-AWD in Laser Blue, have owned it for 22 years, so I am well used to looking after cars, just need good direction.
Also have a 1994 Volvo 480 and my daily is a 2024 Renault Clio Alpine Hybrid, so will not be doing any great mileage on the RX8.

 

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new RX-8!! It sounds like your car has been well cared for in the past. Did thr csr come with any maintenance records? I would love to see pictures of the car!

 

sounds like you picked up a gem of a car, congrats!
was an RX-8 already on your radar or you just saw it and knew you had to have it. (that happens)

as for caring for it and maintenance, honestly it's not all that different from other cars. If you do the basic maintenance and take care of it, it'll take care of you.

This forum is FULL of great advice, tutorials, and if there's anything you can't seem to find, just feel free to ask.
