Noise for a second or two when clutch is depressed?
Hey guys, I'm fairly new to RX-8 ownership (have been dailying my 2005 RX-8 6-speed it since I bought it mid-July) and I've noticed a noise that happens only when the clutch is depressed, only for a second or two. It sounds absolutely awful. In the video, this was before I had the pedal adjusted and the clutch bled (both very much out-of-spec, had two inches of pedal at the beginning that did absolutely nothing, did not make learning manual easy lol). The noise would happen EVERY time I depressed the clutch, until I drove over an hour to my buddy's house to drop the trans and do the throwout bearing annnnd the noise went away. We were all incredibly confused, so we started with adjusting the pedal and bleeding the clutch... noise went away? But in doing that created a constant chirping noise when the clutch is out. It's been fine for weeks like that, albeit a little annoying. Within the last couple of days, the chirping has sort of disappeared and the loud, whir/knock noise has been happening intermittently and I am at a loss. Yes, this is my only car (I knew what I was getting into, call me what you will) so I'm just a little concerned about it leaving me stranded, whatever it is? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
