First post on the forum so thanks for your warm welcome in advance.
My father bought an RX8 back in 2006 which I've had the good fortune to drive recently. About a month ago coming home the car stopped and lost power in the middle of the road. We got it towed to the dealership and they said the engine is seized. The dealer will give us some money for it but it's such a cool car I wanted to see if we can't find it a better home.
I was hoping to post on the wanted/sale forum but I don't have the privs yet. I read through all of the notes about posting so happy to post there when I have correct privs. The car is in North Wales, PA.
To the mods, how long do I have to wait or how many posts do I need to reply to in order to post in the classifieds?
for it to just seize im guessing something really blew up. can you spin the e shaft bolt with a breaker bar? highly unlikely you hydro locked it due to the drought were having unless you drove it into a pool lol

Honestly I wouldnt trust the dealers one bit. You should really try to explain the situation to us before you give away a potentially perfectly fine car.
Maybe a 200$ fuel pump died..... or the battery disconnected...... or a fuse blew. Why throw away a 7000$ car without trying to spend 5 mins to diagnose?

true story, thats why i asked about being able to at least spin the e shaft.
Since it died the car has been at 2 shops. One was the closest we could tow it with AAA and they said the engine was seized. We then got it towed to the Mazda dealership and they said the same thing. Is the e shaft different than the crank? What do you recommend I ask them?

Hey there! Best of luck with selling your RX-8, it’s an iconic car. As someone who loves the thrill of casinos, I can’t help but draw a parallel between the excitement of a great ride and discovering new opportunities, like exploring foreign online casinos. I recently came across this site: https://gambleorb.com/best-foreign-online-casinos/, which offers some interesting insights. Whether it’s behind the wheel or chasing wins online, it’s all about the adrenaline and adventure, right? What’s been your favorite memory with the RX-8?
