NL Wanting to buy an rx-8

I want to buy an rx-8 soon and I wanted your guyses opinion on wich one I should get.

I know that the 2009+ models have 3 oil injectors instead of 2 leading to less wear in the middle of the rotor.
I heard something about the 2004 and 2005 models having bad ecu flashes?

But here in the Netherlands the only ones for sale atm are 2007s and below.

My previous car was an fully RFF build Porsche 944

Rx8help.com for all your new buyer info. The earlier 8's are more modifiable, and the middle injector thing is a marginal improvement, if any. The newest 8 is now 12 years old, so it's a lot less about what happened when it was built and more about how it was cared for since then.

I thought the newer rx-8s also came with a lot of quality of life improvements(better suspensions etc) also doesnt the middle oil injector kinda make premixing obsolute(if you run the adapter)

The center oil injector helps with center rotor oiling. Premixing is an option and not a requirement. Some people swear by it, other do not. I run a stock exhaust on my Brilliant Black 04 6spd and I have never premixed. The engine runs great but does have 100k miles. Compression is on the lower end of the spectrum but it hot starts perfectly and runs and drives great. It just consumes more fuel than it did when the engine was healthier.

The second generation RX-8 does have some refinements but i don't love the interior and exterior changes. I prefer the series 1 in all aspects. Just a personal opinion. Buy what you love and not what someone tells you to buy.

No and no. You can't run the sohn adapter on a series 2.
The only factory suspension upgrade is the R3 version's Bilsteins. Théy are a bit sportier and the R3 has recaro seats and a few cosmetics, but it's oriented for sportnot comfort.
