Clutch master cylinder

My clutch was leaking a bit of fluid decided to replace it, I have an 07 RX and ordered the master for that year.

After arrival and pulling out the old master, I noticed that they are two different types. It seems that I have the newer 09+ clutch master installed in my car.

is there a difference between the two? Performance wise?

I had my master cylinder replace about a year ago. They look the same to me. One might perform better because it’s newer.
