2004 RX8… All the dash lights.

My son and I just purchased an RX8 that was rebuilt by a previous owner. It looks like a track build. It seems to run fine, but during a hard acceleration, all the warning lights came on briefly. Where is the best place to start chasing this issue.

thanx.

Exactly which lights under which conditions, as well as any OBD codes.
Tbh, OBD codes are 80% of the info you need.

Briefly it was all of them... like a wire hit something it shouldn't. There's currently a check engine light but Torque is having no luck connecting to read it.

Loose battery cable?
Hard to give any guidance with the provided info. Any other symptoms? List of mods?

Well it won't explain the lights, but I'd remove the K&N intake, they are not appropriate for this car. Go back to stock or AEM/RacingBeat. Everything else is a downgrade. Hopefully you've been topping up the 2 stroke oil reservoir for the Sohn adaptor.

Given that they've installed gauges, there might be some loose power connectors, but the gauge cluster is mostly run by CANbus, so there's not a ton of places you could short to make all the lights come on. That's why I'm thinking battery terminals/loose cable.
