Microtech no injector pulse to 1 injector

Like the heading says I have outputs to both coils and only the 2nd rotor primary injector while cranking nothing to my front rotor primary injector , put the Microtech LT16 into test mode plug in a test light and get pulse signals on both injectors… plug it all back together and crank nothing on said injector….. stumped

read up a faulty essentric shaft sensor may cause this but uncertain as I say have 2 coils and 1 x injector firing

appreciate any guidance

regards
Dayne

Is this a new setup? Or was it previously working?

The one issue with Microtechs is the setup cannot be changed without sending them back for reprogramming. If the setup for the trigger wheel is wrong you will get strange problems. The REW and Renesis have different trigger profiles so a unit setup for one won't work on the other

If it used to work and stopped... look at the wiring.... if the ECU tests OK something may need fixing. Also look at the injector wiring itself. If you have a primary wire on one and a sec wire on another ypu won't get cranking fuel from the sec wire. It is a common issue with the rear rotor on a Renesis.. they are easy to swap around

Was out of a RX8 as a piggy back so I had it sent in and set to run as a stand alone..

been through the wiring 100 times if I give the ECU outlet a negative signal I can hear the injector click telling me wiring from the ECU to injector is fine. I’ve had the muiltymeter on it as well.

with the ECU on test mode I get a negative pulse to the injector …. I believe the ECU in test mode gives itself a crank signal.. but as soon as I put it back to its original state I crank and only get the pulse on 1 injector …

changed battery, new coils , new fuel pump , new relays , new throttle body, new tps.
