Motor availability from Mazda

Apparently, the reman program at Mazda is finished. No dealer can get you one, and even if they could find one, the price jumped to almost 7k.

The new S1 motors from Japan are still 4900, but they are out of stock currently - if they place a PO this week they would be 12 weeks out.

Same goes for Europe regarding new engines.
No availability, 5-6 months wait and if.

It’s truly a shame, let’s hope and pray things turn around and it starts back up again. I had purchased one two years ago, only had to wait a few days which was nice if you want to get your car running quickly.

That's a bummer to hear but should figure itself out and $7k doesn't sound too bad imo. It's just the way the world is headed. I personally think gas prices should be more of a concern for rotary owners these days, averaging truck mpg's is brutal.

I had been led to believe just a few weeks ago there would be little problem getting a "NEW" engine from Pineapple, but it appears now that's not the case.

I'm hoping it's just bad timing on my part.
