CORRECTION: Not regretting owning an 8, just regretting selling it !!!

I just joined this forum, and have a couple questions. First, I bought a new 04 RX-8, had it for 4 years and loved it. I regret selling it, but circumstances were beyond my control. I now have the means, and strong desire, to get another 8. There is one on Ebay now, an 04 that brought back good memories. I doubt the dealer has had a compression test. Do you think I could find someone to go to the dealer and perform an inspection? I'm not sure if the dealer would allow a compression test to be done. Dealer is in the Chicago area.

So, my other question is, what is the best way to find an 8 for sale that has been tested? Knowing that any find will likely be far away, I would pay someone to inspect a car for me. There are no 8's for sale anywhere near where I live in New Mexico.

Sorry for the non-technical questions here, but I don't know where else to go.
