Apologies if this is the wrong place for this, I have looked around the forums to find what I'm looking for, but to no avail.

I'm from the Island and have a stranded R3 here in Vancouver. Need to get it fixed asap so I can get it back home. Can anyone recommend a repair shop who has half a clue about Rotaries?

Like 200 stated - there’s a lot of people here that can help. I haven’t had to use a shop yet for this reason.

One place with a good reputation is Wolfe Langley Mazda if you must use a shop. They only did the air bag on my 8 but, I’ve used them for 10 years with other vehicles. Another forum person stated they were good in the past.

 

Tried to upload a short video, but can't, so will try to describe what happened and what I'm hearing.
Had the car serviced two weeks ago, didn't drive it for a week, brought it to Vancouver from Nanaimo on the Sunday, used it for maybe 50km at most, drove it to my apartment on Wednesday evening last week, no issues whatsoever. Got in on Thursday morning and it cranked a little odd, but started. Reversed out of the parking spot, went to drive forward, engine sounded very rough, engine warning light came on, pressed the peddle and it stuttered.
Light went off, so I tried to drive it out of the car park, went up two floors no adverse effects until I stopped and opened the garage door, then light came back on, could barely get up the ramp from a standing start, kept cutting out.
Returned the car back to the parking spot and left it until I came back on Sunday.
Started the car on Sunday evening, engine sounded very rough, car revs were fluctuating whilst idling, intermittent squealing sound from the engine maybe every 20-30 seconds, then it would stop for 20 seconds, then start again. Not great.

 

year, mileage, transmission, any mods, service history, does it have a cat, what codes if any? need a lot more info. if you have a youtube link ill post it here
