Lebren, welcome back!

I would love some S1 corners that are illuminated white with a 5500k-6000k color, that piggyback off the turn signals to illuminate amber. If youre interested I would also love the opportunity to work with you on such a project..

Maybe a plug-n-play LED light setup, something like a single CREE LED inside a couple small puck style housings with some wide angle lenses to give a flood light effect to illuminate under the hood for after dark quick checkups/pre-trip inspections like checking oil level, coolant, wiper fluid, etc. Connected to a rocker switch for on/off, positive to alternator positive and negative to firewall for a very simple and user/DIY friendly install?

If it's not too flashy, this sounds pretty awesome.

Personally I'd love a more "OEM" style modern interpretation / update for the headlights. Looked into aftermarket LED strips + haloes as DRLs but their white look when off feels pretty tacky to me. Also feels weird to have duplicative lighting functions.

Basic *** thing I can think of right now is painting the silver parts in a darker, shinier colour (gunmetal, platinum, gloss black) but open for ideas! It could be awesome to retrofit newer style Mazda lights (e.g. CX-5, Mazda3, etc.) into the RX-8 housings. I saw some examples of retrofitting TLX jewel LEDs into S2000 headlamps which looked pretty cool.

Drop me a DM, I don't see why we couldn't make some dope corners.

I made the dipstick light at one point and still have a lot of the parts, probably all of them. A lot of people liked having the light in the engine bay

I'm not one to judge, not into halos either. I do want to create some form of diffused light strips within the OE housings, its just so awfully expensive to find OE housings to experiment with. Tails were easier to get hold of at one point but will look into getting a set of those as well!

I have a lead for $20 set of headlights...just need to figure out shipping / pickup (guys an hour away). I think a good diffuse lightning strip would be a great idea, a couple of the ones I've seen were done with some cheaper parts so they didn't look great turned off.

There's some good aftermarket tailight options now (S2 copies on the low end, Valenti / Intec and Carshop Glow on the high end). I put in a set of smoked intec lights for mine and they look really cool with the diffuse lighting. Headlights are still a pure custom play right now, haven't seen anything really compelling there.

Here's a link to my album for some inspo: http://imgur.com/gallery/YI3S3Lw

Excited to see what you come up with!
