Hi I've seen you on the RX-7 forums but didn't know you've got a 8 too. Is the black one yours? That's a sick looking kit and hood what brand are they? I'm not too well versed with RX-8s I only know the red one is Mazdaspeed lol

Yessir, the black r3 is mine and thank you very much! The front bumper is a Knight Sports type-03 paired with RE-Amemiya D1 AD hood. I basically hodged-podged the entire thing together from Knight Sport, Amemiya, Rmagic, Auto Craft Evolution and Odula. I think the final result turned out well.

Haha my gut instinct was right! When I first saw the pic I was thinking the design language is very similar to the Knight Sports Type 7 front bumper they got for the FD and the vents on the hood resembles the AD9 on the FD. The shipping alone must've cost you a lot of money Got more photos of your SE3P from different angles?
The KS Type 7 bumper is suuuuper cool imo and yeah shipping was not cheap but I was very lucky in beating the shutdown, etc. Off the top of my head I recall shipping to be approx 2/3rds the value of the large items and in all honesty I must've paid nearly $10k in international shipping for 2019 all said and done. Sorry I don't have or take too many pictures of the car, no social medias. I'm def square af.
Haha off topic but I did almost buy a Hawkeye back in the day. No worries I'm probably the last person in my city without an Instagram too
I'm a bit familiar b/c I've been eyeing that Knight Sports bumper for a few years now but the shipping is just horrendous and ever since corona it's gone to ridiculous. I have no problem paying for authentic products and prefer it whenever possible but for example now they want to charge something like $1100 for the RE Amemiya AD9 hood wtf Hellz no! Well Ame-san finally lost my business.
Those Super Advan SA3R brings back memories! I wasn't a huge fan of them back then but fast forward 20+ years they look pretty cool with the right spec. The wheels actually aren't period correct for the SE3P but you pulled it off well I rather like the red on black motif I have no idea how you scored them but I hope you keep them in good condition.
So I also spy R Magic side skirts and Auto Craft Evolution rear spoiler stand extensions?

Haha! Hella funny!!! I'm not particularly a Subaru fan but I think those hawkeye years were still pretty cool, much better than the bugeye at least. That'd be so awesome if you picked up an aftermarket tuner company FD front bumper, especially dope to see more Knight Sports stateside. Seems all you see anymore are basic '99 spec conversions...
100% shipping was expensive before and is completely crazy af off the rails now. I chalk it up to a 'you gotta pay to play' philosophy regarding the importing of anything desired. I figure if you're in the market for a performance vehicle, have a budget of $50k+, etc then this should be a drop in the bucket. Especially with the way value of 'collectable' jdm cars are going, owners should be riding the inflation wave while they can. I'm sure Lotus and Porsche guys are very aware of associated parts / service fees and adjust their expectations accordingly.
Thank you for the car and wheel compliments! I'd say the SA3R's are definitely a 'hit and miss' wheel. I've got friends who tell me they're ugly as **** all the time. Haha! Back in the day they weren't to my taste either but I got lucky and found this mint set a few years ago and now I think they're just one of the coolest things ever. Flagship Advan's that's for sure and more of a conversation piece now imo, plan is to keep as a collectable. Just retired them from DD service.
Skirts aren't Rmagic but the Amemiya carbon D1 AD's and you are absolutely correct on the A.C.E. risers. Rear carbon exhaust flares are Rmagic (not visible, I'll get a picture) but if you have x-ray vision you can see the roof is dry carbon Amemiya as well
Happy 8 day club! Wow I can't believe it's been 3 years already! Figured I'd go out for a short drive today. Still a few details here and there to work out. Long story.
Hope you get the chance to hit the road for a few of your own rotations.
Happy 8 Day to you as well sir!
My little burn today in the 8 was a hair away from being noticed and reflected upon by the local constabulary. Nothing like a super tight right hand on-ramp to make a fellow smile. I looked back whilst merging and there was a cop car at the light, first in line with an unobstructed view of my performance. Luckily I saw them and let off just as I passed the speed limit. I make a habit of always staying within whatever paint lines are mine so nothing to report. 3 years later and I still have fun with this car.
