Here's an image of a 76-Germanium ion beam with a charge state of +12. The white dots are caused by damage to the CCD chip from neutrons. I was able to show for the first time that ion beams produced in an electron-cyclotron-resonance ion source, retain a "memory" of the magnetic field shape from whence they came, hence, the hollow triangle, with some surprising additional properties.
And yes, I'm nerd enough that it's one of the reasons I have a rotary car.

I'm gonna have to take a pic tomorrow in class, the entire Gaige building at Penn State Berks has chairs with a mesh-like backing made completely of rotor-shaped holes! I sit in class and am constantly reminded of my car by thousands of mini rotors :p

if anyone lives in virginia i suggest you go to tysons corner with a truck around midnight on the amc bridge. they have the rotor trashcan haha i almost stole it last time i went but it would have been a b*tch bringing it back to maine
