shipping from Taiwan will be a killer maybe, there are some being made/sold here in the USA

 

How's the rigidity? The stock aluminium roof is pretty fancy to handle the stresses of holding the B-pillarless car together.

 

Here you said hood. We call the piece that covers the engine the hood. I'm guessing that was a mistake.

What stock section are you including in your 9kg estimate? If you are only replacing the roof panel and no structure, I doubt that there would be a 5kg weight savings.

What is the installation procedure for installing your carbon fiber roof panel?

The rigidity is always not from roof,

The carbon roof weight 5kg
Is not estimated, we weight it

Like most of carbon roof installation
Use special bond to hold it together

 

If you're looking for a carbon roof in the USA, I had my carbon guy mold one too. It's all dry carbon, and 5.3 lbs (2.4 kg). Stock roof panel is 19.6 lbs (8.9 kg).
