I’m currently in the process of swapping out my transmission I I thought I might as well upgrade the flywheel and replace the clutch. I’m wonder can the stock flywheel counterweight be used when upgrading the flywheel. Also any suggestions on clutches and flywheel.
mom looking at the generic eBay clutches cause I figured my car is stock and I doubt I’d be adding anymore power to the car. So an eBay clutch would be okay.

im thinking about purchasing this it comes with a clutch and flywheel and counterweight is a counterweight isn’t needed I’d rather buy a act or a non eBay part

 

RacingBeat, Exedy, and Fidanza all make good lightweight flywheels. I believe they all use the RX-8 automatic rear counterweight as part of their installation. As for clutch -- stick with stock. The standard Exedy replacement should be fine, but I've heard mixed experiences with the Stage 1 upgrade (not that it is needed with these anyways).
