I'm a new RX8 owner and looking for any clubs or individuals who may be interested lending a hand. I purchased a 2004 RX-8 6spd and I've fallen deeply in love with the car. Yesterday my heart was broken when after upgrading my coils and wires to the BHR upgrades, installing a DW200 high flow fuel pump and an upgraded starter I had my clutch start slipping. In the last 24hours ive found out that the transmission input shaft seal is leaking and wetting the clutch and flywheel. So im looking at needing the seals in the transmission replaced as well as the clutch and flywheel refinishing. I'm pretty handy by nature... Im a maintenance supervisor for a large property management company . I do AC repair, appliance repair, electrical and plumbing...you name it. Im certified in several areas, but when it comes to transmissions...well, lets just say theyre not my specialty. I've never removed a transmission, worked on a transmission and to be honest, Im not sure I even understand exactly how they work, technically speaking. So I need some help to get my car back on the road. Im willing to help you out with AC work or whatever you need that i may can help with. My problem is that I just dont have the extra money for one,

after buying the car and putting in what ive already put into it, plus the holidays are almost here and i have 4 kids. Besides, I dont know anyone I'd truzt to bring it to . Let me know if you can help. I plan on ordering the clutch kit from Charles at BHR around the 1st of November. So I'd be looking to do the job that following weekend or whatever is convenient for you. Thank you !
