The Pontiac GTO is coming out this year, late in 2003. The Pontiac GTO is packed with 300 HP and 360 lb. of torque. GAH, But once I get my RX8 nothin would get in its way. What do you all think about this?? Afraid???

What is all the concern with competition? I am getting my 8 because it will be a blast to drive and unique -- not because it will "beat" everybody I see on the road. There will always be somebody faster, etc. Just in my neighborhood there are several M5's, 911's, Ferrari's, etc. -- a guy would go nuts if he had to concern himself with the "competition"

 

Agreed! Im getting the Rx8 mainly for the looks:D Im not one of those guys who like to drive fast, im a cruisin' type of dude!

 

I still like the RX8, but I think the GTO will have 340 HP if I'm not mistaken. ( I know who cares nobody here wants to beat anyone in a straight line anyway). I would, however, like to have that feel of raw power pushing you back into the seat. Plus, I love the sound/feel of an American V8.

Well if I was to get the RX-8, my wallet forbids it; damn you bastard wallet!!! , I would get it cuz well I'm love with the car and I'd married it if it was possible...hehe. Anyways the reasons I believe a lot people wants to use the 8 to race with is cuz that of competitive spirit. Which I myself have in abundance, but try to keep it in control. Can't take anymore speeding tickets.
