has anyone use this spring kit on their car?
I have a 2011 sport model with the stock 18'' wheels, stock tires 225/45-18 but I have 1'' spacers all around
its the most lowering kit I found on ebay 1.75F/1.50R
I already ordered it, but I'm wondering if the tires will hit the fenders

Megan "Racing" is what you buy, when you want to go to a track day and discover just how badly you can screw up one of the best features of your sports car.

 

Plenty of information out there in the suspension part of this forum, would help out a lot to go search them out and read rather than rely on being spoon fed information.

Also, just because a company has "racing" in their name/brand, doesnt mean they are any good. You get what you pay for.

 

Ive been running them on my S2 with powdercoated 18" oem wheels and 25mm spacers for about 3 months now. Really The ride is softer than oem springs but that partially the spacers fault too. I do have an issue with them though, Both before and after I put my spacers on (and once my suspension settled) my tires would rub against the top of my wheel well if I was going fast enough, though I just ended up cutting them out because of fitment later. They aren't really preformence springs they're more for looks in my opinion. But I dont know many other S2 owners that will try doing 90+ in the backroads so depending on how you drive it may not affect you.

 

Please explain how solid metal spacers soften the suspension.... and what exactly did you cut out? The top of the wheel well??

 

He put hub spacers on to extend his track width and create room between the tire and spring.

He cut the top of the fender liner inside the wheel well, which is a common thing to do on track cars. Although, these Megan springs are too soft for they amount of lowering they provide. They should be at least 20% stiffer, but more like 200%.

But seriously, there are a ton of high quality springs, sold at reasonable prices in the marketplace. Don't reward Megan for making junk.

Since you have an S2, your options are more limited, as rear spring length is different between S1 and S2 cars. Make sure any springs you buy are specifically for S2 cars and not a shared part. Or, just go for adjustable coilovers, such as Bilstein B14 PSS, and get it right the first time.
