Best place to buy parts
Best place to buy parts
When I hit 30k miles I plan to have the plugs, wires and coil changed from everything I've read. Is the coil the same as a coil pack on a regular car? Should I stick to Mazda parts? Who has the best prices?
For coils, you have a couple of choices.
You can get OEM Revision C coils. Mazmart has good prices. I doubt any dealers will be cheaper.
You can also spend more money and get a set of BHR coils. They last way longer and are backed with a very good warranty and customer service.
As for spark plugs, Mazmart's price is, again, great, and they are a reputable store.

Mazmart is great, but any local AutoZone or NAPA can get you thr right things. The dealer will charge a lot for basically the same thing. Just avoid ebay ebay and amazon, you could get unlucky.
True, prices for parts in the States seem to be saner.
Still, if you want OEM coils, I am not sure how up-to-date the ones from NAPA and AutoZone are. Are those Revision C?
As for spark plugs, you can check your local sources first in price. Here in Canada, the 3 sources I checked(local dealer, NAPA, ClubPlug.ca) all want CAN$40+ for a single plug. Not happening. Even with all the fee I have to pay for the ones I source from Mazmart, it still manages to be a little bit cheaper than buying in Canada, LOL.
