New to the forum. Got an 06 shinka from a guy for the purpose of dropping in something that doesn't need rebuilt every 30k and has real pistons! So far everything the dude told me checks out, but of course had receipts for nothing. I did, however, smoke a stock (I'm guessing) rx8 on the drive home after buying it. The engine is ported and tuned from OJ Imports in tx. Supposedly has 1000-1500mi on it but I have really no idea. Fires up when both cold and warm no problem. Have a magnaflow full exhaust for it. I have an aem intake on it currently, and an injen intake as well. And will be selling the transmission as well to swap in a t56. Has a supposed stage 2 clutch. I believe it because engagement from a stop feels like some kinda race clutch. Pretty harsh. Not really sure what any of this should be sold for so throw me some offers! Will be updating later as I gut the thing with more parts.

what is this thread about? are you trying to sell the renny and swap in an ls? sell the whole car? bash the rotary with your 30k rebuild nonsense?

youre welcome. fyi theres no way anyone is paying 2k for a motor without a rotary specific compression test. i think prices are a bit high on everything except the intakes, not bashing your f/s thread just being real. look at some other threads to see what prices are trending at. gool luck with your swap, its not easy but has been done and documented here

 

Yessir I've got the comp test on the agenda this week or next. Heard that'll bump up the price significantly. Gonna drop it at mazda for the dozen recalls they have out on it. And yeah they're high! Nobody pays asking price on forums. Hope not too high though haha. We will find out. I'm expecting this to be on jack stands for 1-2yrs. Literally unfortunately.
