IL 5.38 final drive for s2

I use to own a 04 red 6sp rx8 and parted it out a couple months ago. Now i have recently purchased a r3 2010 with 125k 6sp manual. I have been looking to get a final drive to upgrade from the 4.77 to 5.12. I work at mazda midwest region office and reached out to dealer assistance group (DAG) and they advised that the 5.12 were discontinued by MC japan in 2015

However i did find an for 5.38 available for the kia sportage front diff that is also Currently available for miata off roaders and s2k autocross. Pacomotorsports.com in kentucky

I have seen 1 video of one s1 or s2 (cant recall) rx8 with 5.38 on the track on jason goode facebook page last year. I cannot seem to locate his video.

Long story short does anyone or has anyone used a 5.38 final drive on a s2?

If so how was the install, did it overheat, does it require a pump and cooler? Etc... what would be a good recommendations? Or just leave the 4.77

Thanks!!
