The only things I had not done myself was the engine rebuild and fabrication. As far as wiring, running fuel lines, and throwing the motor in and all together I was able to do. Total cost was around 12k I want to say. I stopped keeping track after a couple grand lol.

Hey guys just posting a little update! A couple weeks ago I was able to get the car street tuned. Our first go at tuning was a complete fail because one of my wg flanges was warped and leaking. After getting the leak fixed and putting in 11 psi springs car felt way better. A week or two after that I was given the opportunity to track the car at streets of willow thanks to Superstreet! Car still needs more tuning at the top end, hopefully soon.

Enjoy the vid!

I have a great question for you since you have Adaptronics. In triggering, what do your ignition offset angles look like?? Example - 41, 31, 21, 11 or 38, 28, 18, 8, etc... I have asked a ton of people and nobody seems to respond.

Did you try asking Elliott at Turblown?

I sent him an email about 2 weeks ago with my logs and my tune. He said he would get back with me about the timing/triggering, but I haven't heard anything back. If I could just get a few people with REW motors with REW triggers/wheels confirm their trigger angles ( I would assume they should be all close), it would make me feel much more comfortable with my timing map. I know i'm close, but even 5-10 degrees either way can cause big problems.

He’s busy, but two weeks is worthy of following up and asking him again without appearing too pushy

Stroker, in all honesty im not sure how to check this I left the tuner to the more capable hand. If you'd to inform me how I can try to get you the info.

also managed to make it out to seven stock this year. Car ran decently.. just had one incident where I had to push start it at a gas station.

hey guys just looking for some input. Tried getting my car tuned. At wide open throttle my car would break up at 5500 rpm. Along with that my adaptronic ecu won't update. So far I've been told I have a bad ecu now. wondering if anything else would cause this since my daptronic did fine when I had a greddy turbo on my renesis.. thanks in advance

What is Turblown and Adaptronic saying? Seems like that’s who you should ask. Adaptronic tech support has great response for me and my questions.

Hey Will, we’re were talking on ig about this. Did you check dwell time on the coils? What plugs are you running? Did you test the injectors to see if they’re properly working? Also does the car rev to redline with no load?

I had ignition breakup/spark blowout problems above 5 psi for a bit, and what solved it for me was switching to an Autolite 3933 plug. They are gapable and only $2.99 each ($15/set shipped on ebay). I change them every few thousand miles because they are soo cheap. I was able to close the gap down to 0.025-0.028", and I haven't had any issues since. Ran those cheap plugs up to 20 psi. I also have D585 coils with dwell set to 4,500.

The NGK plugs i swapped out only had a few hundred miles on them.... Could be just some fouled plugs...

Tuner said it was a bad ecu. He emailed adaptronic some tuning maps he recorded while we were testing. I just wanted a second opinion because ecu' are expensive lol

Well definitely upgrade to the modular ecu if that’s the case

I just wonder what would cause my ecu to do this. I had it running fine with my renesis/greddy turbo. And between engine swaps car was garaged
