You’ll probably need to send it back for analysis. Is there any chance of a wiring/shorting issue somewhere? Otherwise maybe there’s an internal QC issue that Adaptronic needs to address? It’ll be a bit of a hassle, but I wouldn’t blindly just go purchase another ECU without first going through whatever it takes to figure out where the problem is.

I revommend determining a logical approach about how your going to tackle this rather than just shrugging your shoulders and asking questions on a forum. If your not technically adept to handle it directly then you should seriously seek good counsel from someone local who is. This problem won’t solve itself. You need to take action and make it happen. Sorry to be blunt, but you just seem uncertain and without direction. Pick your path and get moving because that’s the only way forward with a positive end result in the minimal amount of time.

I know John is a good tuner but I was also told my adaptronic was crap by a very well known tuner and it ended up being fine. It was a mix between his laptop and not putting in the correct settings. I would contact adaptronic or Elliot at turblown before you start throwing parts at it. That’s never the answer.

Also, you said it was working before the rew right? Has there been any welding done on the car since then? If so was the ecu and battery disconnected?

Is that a custom fabbed adapter for the throttle body to the cosmo UIM? I am using the same UIM and wondering if there is an off the shelf solution.

I got my Throttle body adapter from Chris at esmeril. I also went ahead and got a modular ecu. Sadly still waiting for the tuner to finish up things. I suggested dwell time as well so we'll see what happens.

I couldn't hear a lot of what you were saying in the video.. What is going on the motor is breaking up above 5,500 RPMs??? and the motor detonated and compression is low in one chamber?

What is your boost, air/fuel, and timing when it breaks up? What plugs are you running and what gap?
