Need Your Advice Regarding Oil Change For My RX8

I received the delivery of my RX8 on September 22, 2003. Since then I've got 2,650 miles on it. Today, it is exactly 7 months. How necessary is it for me to get an oil change. Can you please advise. Thank You.

 

2.6k miles in 7 months????

Well, I'd change the oil anyway at 7 months for sure.

As a reference point.. I got my car last september also and I have 11k miles. and 3 oil changes.

 

The manual states 7500, but it being a new engine and all, I had mine changed at 3200, and will try to maintain a 3500 mile oil/filter change interval.

 

My 1st oil filter & change was done at 2,500 miles.

I would suggest the same.
