Dealer replaced engine Dec last year, about 3k on it now.

Here is what the PPF nuts look like; this is looking straight up under the tranny mount. The PPF has been moved all the way to the front.



The 'A' measurement is 44mm vs recommended 48.4-56.4.




Everything 'seems fine', no strange noises, though the exhaust hangs quite low.

Do I adjust it or leave it alone?

 

If it's fine leave it. You will know when it's out of line.

I'm curious, how would you know?

I thought it would just be a minor loss in efficiency / possible minor extra stress on the joints if it was not straight.

 

I'm very interested in a description of how it is designed and installed as well. It seems to have only horizontal adjustability. But the measurement for alignment is vertical; which would appear to be determined by motor/diff mounts, not the PPF. Ninja engineering here. I'm familiar with the Corvette 'torque tube' arrangement, which should be similar.... but isn't.

 

As you lift the drivetrain, it effectively shortens the amount of length you need in the PPF and the bolts slide back. The opposite happens when you lower it.
