Anybody interested in a RFID based ignition system?

I figured b4 I go overboard in writing a detailed "how-to" guide...id check to see if their was any interest in this. I'll summarize my reasons for doing this 1) I was bored 2) it required waaayyy too much effort for my lazy **** to put the key in the ignition & turn it (lol) 3) I'm a tech nerd....need I say more??

So pretty much, wut I did was deleted my keyed igntion system & wired up a RFID reader, an arduino, & 4 relays to become my "new & improved" ignition system.

So...I'll await for the responses...personally I kinda assumed only my Dumbass would think of doing something like this, but my friend keeps insisting it's really "cool" & that other ppl would see want to do it too...

I would be interested in seeing how complicated it is.

Definitely curious. Wondering what kind of power draw you get while the car is off. Does the duino stay powered? Or only the reader?

Not enough to cause a dead battery (yet) lol. The reader/writer gets it's power supplied from the duino. So the longest my car has sat w/o being started was 2 weeks. I parked it at LAX while I was on a business trip to Chicago. Got back, and it started no problem. I'm sure ideally the duino should b powered off unless it's being used, but then its starts to get more complex lol.
