How are your S2 engines doing?

Who's over 100,000 miles? Any issues so far?

My 2010 GT has a mere 44200 miles on the ODO. Purring like a tiger taking down and feasting on a zebra. Going to install new coils, plugs, coolant, change all fluids, and change the coolant res bottle. Oil changes every 1000-3000 miles.

88k km => 55k miles on my 2011, still going good :D

Needed nothing more than timely fluid changes, coolant res bottle, spark plugs/wires (doing coils soon)

Yeah I'm another guy with around 30k miles on mine. Of course, no issues (yet). Not expecting any issues anytime soon though ahahah.

You're lookin' in the wrong place, dude. If you wanna talk to owners with over 100K miles, talk to the S1 guys. They're the ones proudly racking up the big six-figure mileages:

I put 99k miles on my factory S2 engine without any real issues. It did not get any special treatment - basically followed Mazda's maintenance schedule. After 99k miles, compression was in the 6.8-6.9 (kgf/cm^2) range on rotor 1 and 7.4-7.5 on rotor 2. Mazda replaced the engine under the engine core warranty.

His point may have been to compare the high mileage S2 to the S1 engines.

While most of you guys are in the 30,000 mile range, I just passed 3500 miles today!

Engine is great. Still no issues. Fingers crossed!

My S2 motor died at about 70000 KMs

Replaced under warranty and has been running great up to 100 000 KMS

PM me if you've got questions
