New here, just need some help and advice please

Hey, my name is Angel, and I'm in the market for a new car. I finally decided on a Mazda Rx8 but it is hard finding one in a good reasonable price and good condition. I need your advice and please no flaming, I am new but I have read up alot, like ALOT on Rotory engines and I already know alot bout cars.
So I have two sellers:
One of them is selling me the car for a good deal but the "starter" just died so most likely you going to have to push start it... I don't mind push starting it nd taking it right away to get fixed but I heard you could push start a dead rotory! Freaking zombie lol and he also told me the battery is dead due to the fact, it's been sitting their for a while. Carbon build up and maybe the seal no good anymore maybe from dryness and not lubricating.

And the second seller, told me at first that he put in a new clutch, new ignition, pretty much a tune up. Then I was getting ready go get the car and then suddenly he tells me the clutch went bad and that the car won't move -__- , I hate dishonest ppl so I'm iffy bout getting that one nd then he tells me, he's selling it because he don't know anything about rotary engines.... A big no-no lol

I have nobody with some knowledge about rotary engines and I asked around bout doing a compression test and as soon I showed them it isn't a regular Piston Engine, they be clueless lol. I need some advice, what you guys think? I don't mind the clutch issues or the starter but I don't want a ticking time bomb either, I need it for DD to work.

Both of those sound way too sketchy to buy from. It sounds like you're shopping for basically non-running cars, is a good condition/low mileage one out of your budget?

The one with the dead starter has 76k and the dead clutch has 93k. Both cars looks great exterior wise, leather, sunroof w the navi. Actually I have 4500 saved up and both cars are been sold to me for $2300 & $2500. I'm actually looking for a healthy running car and I don't mind if it's small stuff, starter is an easy fix, lift up the car, a bolt and a clip, and I was still going to change the clutch to a lighter flywheel and a 6 puck clutch.

They can ask whatever they feel like, doesn't mean it's the right price But, if that 04 just had its engine replaced with a known good rebuild, it might be worth it.

Just for giggles, this is somewhat what my FS ad would be;

Rare, fully loaded LYGT, second owner, bought with 18.5k miles 4 years ago, 55k, excellent condition, BHR midpipe, SakeBomb ignition, spare BHR ignition, almost new direct fit Walker cat for inspection purposes.
Good tires, all 4 rotors and pads with less than 20k on them.
Mobil1 Ow40 oil changes, regular air filter changes, MAF, ESS, cleaning, and associated maintenance.
Premix every tank with primarily E091, regular injector cleaner additives.
Drive it like I stole it every day.

Actually, now that I think about it, it would take quite a bit more than that for me to part with it.

Lmaooo, I think I'm going with the dead clutch, he said he changed the clutch but it don't want to go in gear, most likely a master or a slave cylinder. Car starts up fine, no check engine or overheating nothing.

Any car you buy must pass a rotary-specific compression test before you commit.

Personally, my preference would be for a mint S1 with the handsome, understated, non-hideous front grille.

Finally tho, got my 8!!! WOOT!
Nice Red 04 with 94k miles, leather, Bose system, godspeed coilovers and a sunroof. Only problem is the A/C don't work -__-, trunk won't open, radio has gone black, you still can hear it tho(thanks God), brakes are goneeeeee, I feel like fred Flintstone lol, the caliper on the front driver side isn't braking. Small stuff that adds up but I ordered everything already so it's going to b a long Saturday for me(Day Off).

Congrats!
Do you know what's wrong with the AC?
Sometimes the connections on the control circuit board give out and can be soldered.
There is a test, but the display has to be working.
It might be worth doing jic.

The AC turns on but the compressor wasn't kicking on....
So I'm going order one as soon I get the circuit board checked tho, thx.
BTW, is it normal for me to fill up all the way to Full with 14$??? I filled up 4 times from E and I been spending 12-14$. Gas is at 2.50, 93.

Did you mean 14 gallons maybe? My 07 usually goes from just below E (i know i know bad) to full with just about 14 gallons. But $14 (5 gallons ish) sounds like a problem. Some gas pumps will auto shut off on me before my tank is full though it might be that. This should go without saying, but check that your needle is at full before you finish fueling.

Most likely my fuel tank sensor must be faulty, indicating it's on E,meanwhile still having half a tank, because I have gone to a couple gas stations and they all stops throwing gas around 14$.

Btw, the AC started working, this morning it was a little chilly, so I decided to turn on the heater and instead, it was blowing ice cold air -__-
So I'm guessing hot is cold and cold is hot.... O.o I know weird lol.
