CA Hello new guy here

Hello everyone,

My name is Dean and my first car was a 1971 RX2 way back in 1979!
I immediately went to racing beat and bought a header and holly carb and manifold kit and had one of the quickest cars in my area lol.
I owned 2-RX2's and a few 1st gen RX7's and gave up rotaries about the early 90's.
When the RX8 came out I went to the dealer and test drove one but at the time it didnt make much sense I had a family and the seat room in the back just wasnt going to work. But I did really love the way it handled and how smooth the power delivery was. Now I had many peaky 10k RPM big street port motors in the past and all were pre FI and I have to say the new 13B was very refined in the way it makes power.

Well now it 2016 and I dont need back seats anymore and I will have a RX8! I am looking to get a 2009 and up series 2 maybe a R3? if I can find one and I have learned a great deal from this forum and all the really passionate rotor heads here.
Please bear with me I have a lot to learn again alot has changed in the almost 20 years I have been away from rotaries I may ask dumb really stupid questions but I am asking for a little slack lol

One thing that has really changed is the price for a RX2 I bought mine no lie from a little old lady in Pasadena CA for $750.00 and my first RX7 (1983 model GS) for a little under a grand. now it seems these cars are IMO are priced insanely expensive.

Well thanks for reading and hope to talk to some of you here soon,

Dean

I wouldn't say 'any'.. a lot of them don't even have a rotary specific tech anymore. Find one with a rotary trained tech, that has the rotary specific compression tester.
