235/45 18in winter tyres for my new to me R3?
Hi Everyone,
My first post, have been reading here for awhile and just put a deposit on a grey 2010 R3. I had this strong desire to own/drive one more sporty, track capable rwd car with a stick shift before I get too old and stiff..., and have decided to combine the decision with finding the truth about rotaries for myself..
It will not see much winter driving, but must be available and sitting on winter rubber; I have an opportunity to buy a set of S1 18in wheels with 235/45 tyres, wider is not best for winter I know, but just wanted to confirm my thoughts that they will fit okay.
Looking forward to my first real drive
Regards

I had a set of 245-40-18 tires on ASA GT5 wheels on my R3 before switching back to stock. Those fit fine, with no rubbing or anything like that. They were summer tires, not winter, but I doubt that makes a difference regarding whether or not they fit.

Thank you for the reassurance, I was going with 17s new but found these 18s on kijiji which sound good, picking up the car tomorrow, amazingly warm still here for mid December to get it home on the summers.
Cheers
