Pinch Bolt

Seriously, the pinch bolt on the rear hub from the toe link arm is going to be the death of me. PB blaster, propane, impact gun, breaker bar, hammer. Failed.

Ideas? I do not want to hand drill this sucker. I know I will ruin the hub.

I am about to cut the boot and acetylene torch the whole thing within a degree of dripping aluminum.

EDIT: To clarify, the nut is off, the bolt wont budge or turn.

I feel your pain. Just keep working it. My right rear axle was so seized that it took me a week of pb blasting, torching, and hammering. Left the nut on to try and prevent damage. One day I took a swing and it popped right out. I swear I started doing the Carlton.

Good luck

I heated with a propane torch and then used an air chisel to work it free. Took some convincing but they eventually let go.

If you do try drilling it, I'd do it in steps going progressively larger, then you might be able to free it before it's completely cut away, saving the hub. I've drilled out bolts like that before and was able to extract the thin outer shell of the bolt without damaging anything else.
