Evening all,

Just joined up after getting my second RX8 (Winning Blue, 2004, 231 at 62000 miles on the clock).

It' my 2nd RX8 after a 5 year break (had kids, needed boot space and a diesel for a bit). Very happy to be back in the RWD game. Wanted to thank all the posters on this forum as the first time I was just a generic Mazda customer and only really heard about all the failures AFTER I'd sold it the first time (I had a gearbox break on the first car but that was a warranty replacement).

Anyways, the the posts here have enabled me to, hopefully, avoid the minefield of a rubbish engine and I've managed to grab one with a compression test and some life left in it for virtually no money really (given the performance). All I had to do was change the Tyres to some that wouldn't kill me in the wet and I'm away! (previous owner had put F-ing AUTOGRIP tyres on the back and Sport contact 3 on the front.. lethal...
