MN Brief Sputtering at Start when Engine Warm/Hot

Hello,
My 2006 with 48k miles is having difficulty starting for about 1-2 seconds when starting and I'm wondering if anyone has any clues why that might be? Replaced the spark plugs last week, always keep up to date with oil changes (conventional), and otherwise never had any issues with the car.

Interesting thing is that when the engine is freezing (e.g. the temperature outside is under 32F and it's been sitting for several hours) it doesn't seem to have this problem. I'm hoping that this isn't an engine compression problem giving that I only have 48k miles on it, but the rough start in warm temps is a little alarming.

Any ideas?

btw, title of post is wrong... it's not really sputtering, just has a hard time starting and is turning over from what I can tell, engine just isn't starting for those couple seconds. (Forum wouldn't let me rename or delete post)

Thanks,
Nick

Have you kept up ignition maintenance? Coils and wires in addition to the spark plugs?

You might need to be more precise or post a video. Compression loss is a possibility, when you say warm temps, is that like after the car has been warmed up to operating temperature, or when it's warm outside?

Ignition maintenance, no. Next on my todo in a few weeks once my pay increase takes effect. In regards to the warm temps, it's not the operating temperature because at around 55F it will hesitate to start, but around freezing it will start fine. I assume 55F is not enough to manifest the worst of engine compression issues considering I have no other operating issues? 55F is the temperature my underground heated garage is in the winter and it hesitates there, but when I'm leaving work (no garage and freezing outside for 8+ hours) it's fine.
