The first thing that you need to consider, is the recommend enclosure volume for those woofers. You can find all of the specs for those woofers at www.kicker.com. Taking those specs into account, you'll then have an idea of how much air space the subs will need, and make sure you factor in driver displacement.

There is plenty of trunk space in the 8 to accomodate an enclosure for those drivers. If you aren't knowledgable in calculating enclosure volumes, your best bet will be to have a professional build your box for you.

Please document your installation with pictures on this forum. I'm thinking of installing a single 8" Solobaric in my RX-8, possibly in the storage bin between the seats.

I had a 10" Solo in my Dodge Stealth but it's too big and heavy (about 25lbs with fiberboard enclosure) for my RX. I'm willing to sacrifice some low bass to prevent excess weight and hurting performance.

i have two tens in my trunk, with the proper sized box, it takes up a good bit of the trunk, but i still have a decent amount of space... also put my 2 amps in there too, in the little sunken part in the trunk....... good thing i dont have kids or have alot of stuff to carry
