Hey guys,

Just noticed a really weird sound coming from under my shift boot. It sounds like a weird airy crackly noise and is mostly prominent in 1st and 2nd gear, and gets loud with more RPM. It sounds like air is definitely flowing and kind of has a similar sound to a faulty, crackling intake. There are no problems with my shifting and I don't grind gears or anything. All help and comments appreciated.

Have you opened the shift box to see if anything looks out of place or broken that may be causing this noise?

 

Not yet. I'll do that when the rain stops. Hard to work on stuff. Thanks though.
