ive read on the forum and trying to figure out where my oil leak is comming from. i believe its my eccentric shaft. it is drirectly under my alternater. going the deale tomorrow... any ideas..? 05 RX8 6sp manual 90k miles.

Dealer will rip you off. There's a dye you can buy for finding oil leaks. If I was I'n your position, I'd clean up that area so it looked like new, pour an appropriate amount of compatible dye in the oil, and watch the suspected area like a hawk. Then poat pics here when it appears, and people can give you suggestions.

 

ok thank you! i did clean it up but it leaks directly from the bottom, so i went ahead and jacked the 8 up an still could tell because i cant really clean it from underneath. any idea what could leak directly under the alternator towards the bottom of the car?
