So first off let me say I've never heard of this issue before, and also I have a low compression engine, that needs to be rebuilt very soon. So the issue is anytime I accelerate hard above 4.5k rpms I hear this grinding noise. I attached a link to a video of this issue, turn your volume all the way up to hear it. By the way, it is not just my aftermarket exhaust making the noise, it is definitely something else.


Any help would be much appreciated

 

Can you locate where the noise comes from? Is it from underneath the car (maybe CAT material) or the engine (left/right side)?

 

It's really hard to say. If anything, I'd say the engine
bay, but I'm just not sure.

wondering if anyone figured it out, mine sounds the back and center of the bay.

 

I’m getting something similar as well, only problem is all the video links are old enough that I can open any of them. If you did have a recording and/or a solution please let me know 😅
