Smile Custom Iphone 5 Cradle

I Recently upgraded from a single DIN Metra Kit with a Pioneer Single DIN Stereo and the PAC SWI-PS to retain use of the Steering Wheel Controls, for a Double DIN Pioneer AVH-X4600BT.
I received an iPhone 5 as a work phone and decided to utilize the APPRADIO side of the new Stereo. I had to purchase two adapters to make this work.
Originally, I ran the connection to the center console compartment behind the cup holders but I was annoyed at having to twist around in order to use to hand to plug the phone into a free hanging lightning connection wire.
So I decided to use some of the plastic from the pocket that is located beneath the stereo slot of the single DIN Metra kit, and fabricate a recessed dock to go where the tech package control ***** and the seat warmer switches would be if I had a GT with Leather Seats and navigation.

Parts in place after new mods:

* Pioneer AVH-X4600BT, and the bluetooth microphone included (I drilled a hole between Map Lights and mounting the Microphone recessed and angled towards my mug while driving)
* Pioneer CD-IV203, RGB to VGA adapter cable with short, black Lightning Connection Cable
* Apple MD825ZM/A, Lightning to VGA Adapter
* PAC SWI-PS, Steering Wheel Control Interface
* Metra 95-7510HG, Double DIN Dash Kit, and plastic cut from the Single DIN, See Video Link below and Scrub towards the end.

Looks really rough, should have molded or wrapped it to get rid of the imperfect fit.

Here's what I came up with for my appradio.

I think if you line it with felt, it would look more OEM.

Yeah, I need to finish the sides of the cut-out and line the border with something, right now I only have the inside lined with a thin foam, similar to what you find in the bottom of a tool box tray.

I would love to be able to have it lateral like yours Carbon, but I didn't want to eliminate my cup holders, and the iPhone is too long to flat in the place I have mine. Ill figure something out and post updated pics. Along with the Mic location and rear backup cam.
