I was just reading around saw this one new guy showed a pvc short ram intake with two heads on it. I laughed and someone mentioned the rb duct but I know that is expensive and he was obviously on a budget. So I thought why couldn't, or why hasn't anyone made there own duct yet? I found a few snorkel heads on ebay for about 30 bucks then you can just run tubing to it like you do for the aem cai right? Then the other idea came up, would I keep the stock airbox or ditch it with an inline filter? Just a brain storm and would like some input.

 

Plenty have created variants and custom versions of the duct. Just buried in the forums largely.

^ yup that would be the one ha. But the only one I found was someone that just took the stock tube turned and mounted it beneath the front smash guard. I was thinking of using something like this with a pas through filter?

I get the whole tuning bug thing, but why don’t we just leave the poor thing alone, there’s hardly any gains to be made here, majority of the time it just look like poo.




/start rant: I hate how people buy this car and are hard pressed to spend legitimate money, on legitimate modifications, go **** all over a civic FFS!!! (I am not directing this at anyone is this thread) /end rant

 

The AEM and Mazdaspeed intakes are considered the best, I just want something different. And this guy's prototype got my attention. That is all. Am I mean cost I guess is a consern so shame on me but I was just curious.
