Won't hold idle

I had to replace my clutch pedal assembly this weekend which had finally sheared off on of the bolt tangs. Followed the TSB instructions on the replacement now after the car warms up it won't hold idle. The lack of idle control has happened in the past and running fuel injector clearer has helped before now no dice.

I know the control was cleared because per TSB you pull the battery negative. So that could be the issue but I was wondering if their could be any issues with the clutch position sensor.

When you first crank it up the rpm hold about 2K but after it gets warm when you push the clutch in the engine just dies, does not even try and catch the throttle.

Any thoughts?
2004 RX8, about 143000 miles. coils changed about 6 months ago and plugs about 1 year ago. Need to pull the SSV though it is not throwing codes for it right now.

Thanks

ECU relearning fuel trim.
Clean your MAF, reset ESS, and after few cycles it should be fine.
Yes, you'll need to hold your gas all the time to hold the rpm to prevent stalling.

This doesn't sound like a fuel trim learning issue. Do the 20 brake stomp. Sounds almost like the EPS .

If you were under the dash, and somehow hosed the clutch position sensor, you might be grounding the ignition when you press the pedal in. Disconnect the wires from them and see if the problem goes away.

If not, sorry, BSOM
