Tried to buy a Mazdaspeed Strut Bar for $250. Went through the usual steps to confirm the guy and the bar, he even sent me a pic of the bar with his name and date.

We had moved everything to personal email, which seemed fine, until of course after I sent him the money (paypal). Then the name associated with his email account changed, and the following day the account was altogether non-existent.

Disputing the paypal transaction now, wish me luck!

hey good luck, my advice on PayPal DONT DO THE GIFT BS. Just pay the extra 3% to cover ebay fees and claim it as a purchase. That way it can be disputed.

I don't know what you did, but it's something I've learned the hard way. 30 dollars to protect 1000 is cheap insurance to me.

 

The 3% fees are extracted on the seller not the purchaser, I just add 3% to my payment to account for there lose to protect my payment as it seems fair.

 

I seem to recall someone else having a problem with this guy. PM me any personal info you have on the guy, I will run him and see what I can come up with in terms of personal information.

Edit: I see his car is from New Mexico, is that what you have?
