I don't think I'm alone in thinking OEM front bumper isn't pretty.

Now that MS bumper is discontinued, what are our options? I don't want to do tons of fitment. I don't want to pay $2k for some POS fiberglass bumper from Japan. Do we even have options?

 

A lot of people like the OEM bumper. You can always get the OEM aero package - a lot of people sell that on these forums.

There is a large debate about what bumpers fit better than others, but they all will require work - end of debate. It is all based upon preference as well, there is a page on here that lists all of the types of aftermarket kits that are available for the 8.

Or find the rare MS kit when they go up for sale.

 

It just seems very subjective. Some say great fitment. Some say crap for the same maker. Another reason why I don't want to use OEM is the vents. They are too small. It would be great if someone made MS bumper that actually fit well.

 

Don't get a knock off man, you car is going to be so sick, don't skimp now. You can find an authentic MS kit, you just have to put in work to find it. Contact Paul at mazmart. The stock bumper vents work just fine though. I have had both with my turbo setup.

love how your car sits! yea I would buy an authentic MS if it were available. Getting replica and making it look good costs as much as getting a matching color authentic MS bumper. only if I could find one...

Yeah man, give him a call. It will be pricey but nothing fits like the MS.

 

Genuine MS kits come up on YahooJPN auctions very often. My front bumper should be here any day now. But yes, fairly pricey.

Replica kits are a hit and miss. Some fit well, others fit like crap. In the end, you get what you pay for.

 

Would not replace my oem front bumper to anything else...
