I got a metra kit for a Double Din stereo unit and have been trying to install everything got the part of plugging all the connections back in and noticed the display unit plug from the car doesnt fit in the axxess box slot for the display unit. Whats wrong?

 

I successfully installed mine plus the steering controls but I'm having the exact same situation... The Manual included with the kit says to plug "the factory" LCD display cable on the back of the axxess unit but the cable end is BIGGER than the axxess port where it's supposed to fit.

Got any news so far on what to do??? maybe an adapter or something

 

you have to take the wire off the oem head unit and use that as the extension
