Wheels are only 25-27lbs each for being 20" ain't bad. And made by Rays Engineering..so why not

Can you see them? You are talking about weight... so you did this for performance?

 

Well my rx8 is turbo'ed..and its different..

 

I apologize, I am usually the advocate for the fact that people should be able to do whatever fits their style. The idea of the style of the wheels I think is could be good. The fit just looks terrible to me, but if you like them then I am happy for you.

On a side note I have always wondered what GTR wheels would look like on an RX-8. Now I don't have to wonder anymore.

 

Those are about 27lbs if they are real OEM R35 wheels. So not bad for a 20" but from a performance stand point that tire wheel combo is just wrong.

As for looks, well that is subjective. If you like it then so be it. To me it looks like every other Ti grey I have seen with Infiniti G35 wheels (similar style).

 

the GTR wheels are real OEM...and i also have a set of G35 coupe wheels..

 

also had Volk Racing Sf winnings on the rx8 before too..

 

The R35 wheels could work in terms of looks I think with some legit aero and better fitment. But the Nissan center caps would have to go.

 

I personally think that looks 100x better than the GTR wheels. And I don't even love the way they look...

 

SF Winnings are always nice, the purple not so much since it has been a bit overdone now.

yes the SF winnings were nice..2 piece..could switch up the colors whenever i wanted...but got bored of it..

 

The look of the wheel isn't bad in my opinion. Its the crazy negative offset that makes it look all goofy on the 8.

Sure I do, but I'm all about functional stance. Enough tire, etc. The RX-8 was meant to drive, so stance should be achieved while still being able to hit it hard on canyon roads, country roads, etc.

I like the look of GT-R rim, but 20" on rx8 is just over killed and god no...

 

lol i knew i was gonna get negative feedback with 20" wheels..well its not like its BIG CHROME 20" wheels..they are forged lightweight..made by rays engineering...and bought the wheels for a killer deal..

 

for $1000 would you buy fake knock offs like XXR's and Rota's or wheels that are made in japan and forged lightweight..hmmm
