Is it possible to just replace the glass in a 2009 rx8 sunroof? Do I have to replace the whole unit? I can't find many posts on this topic.

 

I never had mine replaced, but i think you could just replace the glass. Call a glass company and find out...

Most glass companies only do windshields, windows, and rear. There are specialists that will (rarely) do sunroofs. Google sunroof repair. In my area, they are at body shops. And yes, the people that did mine said I can buy my own from a separate company (they gave me a number) and they would install it. You can buy used glass with no warranty or new with a limited warranty.
