My 04 RX8 (61.XXXmiles) has been idling kinda funny lately at a stop the idle would drop to 500 then go back up, so I've been doing some reading on here and the first easy task was to clean the MAF and TB. My question..... is the TB Blade supposed to sit flush to where i push it in(Closing) it dont move or is it supposed to have some slack to where i can push it in just a little?

You see i wondered about that myself Charles but when i Google my question there was a topic on here that someone had mentioned that the butterfly needed to be closed complete.

 

Ohh by the way after i cleaned the MAF Sensor and TB my RPMs are at 1000 but when i rev it just a bit it goes to 1500 and and stays for a couple sec's then comes down slowly.....

 

That's normal, is supposed to do that. The gap in your throttle body is also normal, it's commonly referred to as the idle gap.
